Indiana Foundation Service Participates in Habitat for Humanity Home Build

Event Recap: Building Hope

On June 17, 2023, the Indiana Foundation Service team proudly joined forces with Habitat for Humanity of Morgan County to help make homeownership a reality for a local family. As part of the nationwide Build Together 2023 initiative, nine Indiana Foundation Service employees spent the day constructing and painting a new home in the Martinsville community.

While on-site, the team discovered the home’s crawl space needed additional protection to ensure lasting stability. Putting their expertise to work, our volunteers installed a new encapsulation system and sump pump, ensuring the space remained dry, healthy, and energy-efficient for years to come.

Building Stronger Foundations Together

Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to building safe, affordable housing for families in need. Founded in 1976, it operates on the belief that everyone deserves a decent place to live. Through volunteer work, community partnerships, and local donations, Habitat helps transform lives, one home at a time.

This mission aligns perfectly with Indiana Foundation Service’s commitment to strengthening communities and creating safe, stable homes across Indiana. Every volunteer hour spent on a Habitat project represents more than just labor; it’s an investment in the long-term well-being of families and neighborhoods.

As part of the Build Together initiative, Groundworks, the parent company of Indiana Foundation Service, donated $100,000 to Habitat for Humanity to advance housing stability nationwide. The program empowers over 4,400 employees across 55 communities to give back through hands-on service projects that foster unity and hope.
